What We Accept
If you are unsure whether or not an item is appropriate to donate, ask yourself if you would wear it to an interview or to work in a professional environment. If the answer is yes, then we need it!
Because our storage space is limited, we ask that you please only contribute clothing that fits the criteria below. Attire that is not interview or work appropriate should be given to another local non-profit organization.
All clothing should be gently worn, “ready to wear”, cleaned and on hangers.

- Coordinated, contemporary and interview-appropriate skirt and pant suits
- Blouses and shells to be worn under suits
- New white blouses
- Professional black dress pants
- Interview and work appropriate separates, including blazers, jackets, shirts, pants and skirts
- Men and Women Professional shoes
- Unused hosiery
- Unopened cosmetics
- Jewelry, scarves and other accessories appropriate for the office
- New, unused undergarments
- Attaché cases, briefcases and professional-looking handbags
- Women’s sizes 16 and up.

When You Can Donate
Donations can be made via mail or drop-off at: Suits for Success, Inc. – 121-125 Newark Ave. 3rd floor – Jersey City, NJ 07302. Clothing Donations are accepted Monday thru Friday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM by appointment only. Please contact us at 201-395-0202 to schedule your donation drop off. No pick-up service is available at this time.
Here are a few other ways to Support and GIVE CONFIDENCE:
The Life Makeover – $500 or $10 a week for one year – a week or for one year can help us provide all programs and services to offer invaluable life training. Clients will learn how to make a seamless transition into the workforce through discussions on workplace issues, goal defining and self-sufficiency preparation.
Professional Growth – $250 or $5 a week for one year – a week for one year can help us to provide all programs and services, plus a yearlong series of workshops through our Professional Women’s Group (PWG), which offers participants continuing education on career development and employment retention. Participants will learn invaluable information on career culture, financial literacy, creating a balance between work and family, the rules of the workplace, and much more. As a member of the PWG, the participant is also eligible to receive free business-appropriate attire and to attend professional networking meetings.
The Career Builder – $100 or $2 a week for one year – can help us provide all programs and services, plus the Career Corner, which offers mock interview and professional feedback, resume building instruction, and consultations through more intensive one-on-one work on career topics.
The Interview Preparation – $50 or $1 a week for one year – $50 or $1 a week or for one year can help us supplement our inventory by purchasing new blouses and shoes to complete the interview attire. Through the Suiting Program clients will receive an interview suit, one-on-one overview of interview etiquette, how to communicate with a prospective employer, how to present himself or herself professionally, and more. By laying the groundwork for interview preparation, the Suiting Program is designed to encourage self-confidence, professional poise and dignity.
